Name:
Uzumaki Naruto
Age:
Twenty-eight
Gender:
Male
Rank:
Hokage
Village/Country:
Konohagakure no Sato; Fire Country
Personality/Attitude:
Naruto's exuberant personality and fiery desire for self-improvement strongly impacts the lives of those around him. At the beginning of the series, Naruto befriends Konohamaru, the grandson of the Sandaime Hokage. He offers to teach the young boy because he rather dislikes his assigned teacher, and while this doesn’t work out, Konohamaru learns to accomplish goals through hard work, and he and his friends idolize Naruto, calling him their elder brother. Despite his rash, stubborn, and even slightly dumb nature, Naruto is a clever prankster who wins his battles through his never-give-up attitude, diversions, and often, dumb luck. Naruto has a great sense of humor- though it is somewhat perverted in some cases- and smiles and laughs at most times. Despite this at times, he smiles to hide whatever is bothering him so no one worries about him; those who are closest to him see right through it. Outside his world, he's just an ordinary, loud, hotheaded kid with a fierce will and a knack for getting into trouble. He had no problem speaking his mind- openly insulting Gaara when he threatened his friends and calling Tsunade old. Naruto sometimes ends his sentences with ‘dattebayo’, which is a speech quirk that is used often by young children to try and gain attention. It is about the equivalent to ‘you know what I’m saying?’ Through the time-skip, Naruto has matured greatly in physical appearance and ability, but overall, his personality stays the same. When first meeting Sakura after so many years, she asks how she looks. She thinks that he looks more mature, and believes his attitude will reflect it. When he calls her looking the same, which she took as an insult, she hits him. Despite the absence of Sasuke, their relationship seems to stay the same. Though, Sakura begins to realize that she cares for him, and she begins to return his feelings. Naruto’s favorite food is ramen, and is still thin despite the massive amounts of it that he consumes. He will never pass up and offer to it, and loves it when people offer to treat him. Also, one of his hobbies is gardening. Though Naruto is usually quite dense in most cases (which often results in Sakura or someone nearby hitting him), he is quite observant and can see many things in a person that others would ignore. Naruto's perpetual determination and refusal to back down has been known to rub onto other characters from time to time. Naruto's cheering has rekindled spirits of fighters in hopeless situations, most notably Hinata Hyuga, whose admiration for Naruto's persistence causes her to develop a crush on him. Naruto's willingness to risk death to save his friends has even carried onto Gaara, a previously impulsively murderous child who also is host to a demon. Under Naruto's positive influence, Gaara has become more aware of lives other than his own, to the point that he would sacrifice himself for his village. Naruto's numerous monologues about the values he holds dear have inspired changes of heart in many more of his opponents, notably Hyuuga Neji. (quote: wikipedia) Although Naruto grew up in isolation, Kakashi notes that he has an ability to make friends with everyone he meets, and often quickly changes how they view him. Naruto suspects that without this ability, he would have become like some of the evil people he faced. Naruto appears to not only have increased in strength, speed, and techniques, but intelligence as well; Kakashi had even said that Naruto has become more cunning. During his training, Kakashi remarks that he believes Naruto will surpass himself as well as the Fourth Hokage and later, even sees a vision of the Fourth Hokage around Naruto. After Naruto shows off the results of his special training, Kakashi admits that Naruto has surpassed himself. (quote: wikipedia)
Chakra Nature: Wind based
~Ninjutsu~:
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu:
Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu
Rasengan- A technique without hand seals invented by the Yondaime Hokage and taught to him by Jiraiya, this jutsu is performed by Naruto focusing chakra to the palm of his hand and compressing and spinning it. It forms a ball of swirling chakra to strike the opponent with.
Oodama Rasengan- This is a more devastating form of Rasengan, which he learned during his training with Jiraiya. It is unstable, and while Naruto learned to perform Rasengan with one hand, this one requires a Kage Bunshin to hold onto the sphere with him.
Futon: Rasenshuriken- Naruto creates the Wind Release: Rasengan, a much more powerful version of the original by combining his Wind element chakra with his Rasengan. The jutsu is capable of producing a massive crater beneath Naruto. Despite the great power of the technique, Yamato confirms that it is still only about halfway finished. Even only half-finished, Naruto's control over the technique is finely-tuned, allowing him to manipulate the wind chakra into various shapes, such as a shuriken in this technique. The jutsu is capable of damaging every cell in the opponent's body. Such is its power that Tsunade likens the effect to poison, stating plainly how concentrated the effect is. Unfortunately, Naruto's arm suffers nearly the same damage, and the technique is only to be used as a last resort.
Kyuubi no Chakra: Due to the demon fox, Kyuubi, imprisoned within Naruto’s body, he is able to call upon its chakra in times of need. The chakra is gradually infusing with his, however. When angered, the Kyuubi’s chakra becomes active, darkening the whiskers on Naruto’s cheeks, changing his blue eyes red, and giving him an eerie red aura. This boosts his strength, speed, and chakra to inhuman amounts. If something especially devastating happens, the anger can grow and allow the red aura to form tails. With each tail, his strength grows, but at the cost of burns. The Kyuubi also heals every wound Naruto gets, so with the constant injuries and healing, his cells are regenerated quickly, and may shorten his lifespan. At the forth tail, Naruto begins to lose himself and adopts the appearance of a miniature Kyuubi. His chakra is off the charts, and he is very dangerous at this point. Yamato needs to suppress the demon before he goes out of control. Nine tails is the limit, and it is likely the seal will break should this ever happen.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu- After meeting Jiraiya, Naruto writes his name and his bloodied handprint in a summoning scroll to create a pact with a family of frogs. Now, with some of his blood and the necessary hand seals, he can summon one of the frogs- hopefully, Gamabunta, a massive red, katana-wielding frog. His chakra control is not good, and he often- comically- ends up summoning Gamakichi or Gamatatsu, Gamabunta’s several inch tall sons. These animals have minds of their own; however, and Naruto often has to motivate them to fight.
~Genjutsu~:
Naruto is unskilled in Genjutsu, but in training with Jiraiya, he learns to dispel it with the simple ‘kai’ and for more advanced Genjutsu (for when he encounters Uchiha Itachi), he learns to cut off the chakra in the targeted area to release the illusion. This does not work on Mangekyou or any other bloodline-based Genjutsu.
~Taijutsu~:
He occasionally uses Kage Bunshin in Taijutsu for distractions and decoys, and when desperate, he believes attacking in masses will help his chances. As he grew in ability, he learns to use them for ways such as pushing him out of the way of attacks, turning them into weapons, or learning Ninjutsu faster as Kakashi teaches him whatever a Bunshin knows is transmitted back to the user when it is destroyed. Also, combos have been developed with them such as:
Naruto Rendan- kicks the opponent high into the air multiple times using his clones and sends them crashing to the ground with a flying kick, chanting the syllables of his name with each blow
Bunshin Body Blow- turns Bunshin into projectile weapon
Appearance or Pictures:
(post time-skip)
Relatives/Family:
Unknown parents, but both are deceased
Hyuuga (Uzumaki) Hinata- Wife
Uzumaki Kazuki- Son
Equipment/Inventory:
Kunai, shuriken, exploding tags, etc…
Background/History:
Naruto was born on October tenth to an unknown couple in the village of Konoha. When Naruto was just born the Kyuubi no Kitsune, or nine-tailed fox, attacked his village. The Yondaime Hokage in order to save the village, sealed the demon within Naruto’s body, and he sacrificed himself in the process. His dying wish was that Naruto be honored as a hero, but the villagers held hatred, believing that he and the demon were the same. The children picked up on their parents’ behavior, and shunned him as well. For twelve years, Naruto did not know why he was so hated.
In his academy days, Naruto was alone, living in his own apartment and having no friends. In order to make up for this, he began playing pranks on the village to gain some sort of recognition. It simply got him into trouble. After a while, he was befriended by his instructor, Umino Iruka, who often treats him to ramen and gives him pep talks when he needs them. He views Iruka as a father figure. After saving Iruka from Mizuki, Iruka deems Naruto as worthy enough to pass his exam, and gives Naruto his hitai-ate to show it.
Naruto was assigned to cell seven as a Genin, his teammates being Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura along with their Jounin teacher, Hatake Kakashi. All of them don’t seem to get along at first. Sakura would always beat on Naruto for his stupidity and for liking her, while she fawned over Sasuke. Sasuke disliked all of them, and Naruto hated that attitude. A rivalry between them developed. None of them shared one thing in common: they did not like Kakashi. However, after going on a mission and completing a bell test, the three began to work as a team and grow a liking for each other.
Sakura and Naruto’s relationship grew, and she thought he was weak, but as she watched his growth throughout the storyline, she realizes she needs to step it up. This caused her to train with Tsunade for two years while Naruto is gone. After the time-skip, Naruto no longer has his childish crush on her, but he still likes her, and he now admires her strength. They have an easy time communicating with each other, and they still seem to have playful fights as they used to.
Though Sasuke still retains his cold personality, he and Naruto become best friends through their constant competition. This relationship is the core of the entire plot. They constantly try to outdo one another, and Sasuke takes losses more seriously due to the fact he wants to surpass everyone so he can kill his brother, Itachi. Naruto sees himself as Sasuke’s equal, but he seems to think he is stronger than Naruto. Whenever Sasuke loses, as mentioned before, he sees himself as weak and inferior, and Naruto berates him for it. It also doesn’t help that Naruto seems to be the cause of most of their cell’s victories. After Sasuke’s defection, Naruto goes on a retreival mission with most of the boys of the rookie nine. Most of them are defeated, and Naruto is told to go on ahead after Sasuke. Upon the encounter, an epic battle ensues. This truly exposes how the feel for one another and Naruto pushes on and on, beating him down time after time for fear of letting his friend go. Sasuke recognizes him as an equal finally, and he realizes they really are friends. After a long and hard battle, the Uchiha barely wins, but he does not kill Naruto, as that would be doing as his brother would want. Even after two years, Naruto still tries to locate his closest friend with Sakura, and whenever he is brought up, it seems to be a touchy subject for both of them. They finally meet again after a long search, and Sasuke greets them both with cold indifference as if they had never known each other. Sakura and Naruto are greatly upset that he is not the same, and he sinks into a depression after they are all defeated by his strength. Sasuke leaves with Orochimaru and Kabuto again, and Naruto begins to cry. This is short lived, and even as an enemy, Sasuke motivates Naruto to get stronger. He still wants to get him back to Konoha. He becomes more serious and determined that he has ever been, leading up to his growth in strength…
