Creative. Cunning. Opportunistic. Smug. Deidara possesses all the traits of a true artist. He holds a deep passion for the creations he molds and beauty of destruction they are capable of producing. Quick by nature to accept and challenge, and even more so to make his own, Deidara is not bothered by death. If you are not his friend or not respected, insults to his art is the quickest way to buy yourself a ticket to the afterlife. Mockery of his creations aren't tolerated, with the only exception being his fellow Akatsuki members; although he never fails to rise to his art's defense. But he is not beyond holding grudges and has short patience in many, if not all, matters. He despises boredom, relishes in action, and is always ready to take on a challenge.
Chakra Nature: Earth based
Ninjutsu:
Katsu
Detonation
A single hand seal, consisting of two fingers lifted close to his face, this is the spark that ignites the majority of his works of art. Without it, there is no trigger to detonate most of his creation. However, several of his artworks do not require a trigger, but detonate upon impact of anything solid. Homing missiles and mines are among these.
Nendou Souken
Clay Creation
Nendo Souken is an ability in which Deidara is capable of producing clay by absorbing the raw mineral of his surroundings into his palms. By simply comsuming a rock or another earthly mineral, the mouths on his hands proceed to release special enzymes and chemicals while they chew the matter fed them. This breaks down the minerals and permits Deidara to create clay that may be used for his jutsu and stored in his pouches. However, the clay produced from this technique containse no embedded charka and possesses no definite shape. Also, the clay received equals merely half the amount of minerals taken in. But although this clay is not explosive and cannot be detonated to use as a bomb, through this technique it may be manipulated and shaped with little effort and produce a means of escape.
Nendo Bunshin no Jutsu
Clay Clone Technique
Upon performing the needed hand seals, clay manifests from the ground, building upward quickly to create an exact replica of the user. This clone is not explosive in any way. It resembles the user in every aspect of its desguise and is impossible to tell apart from the real user, even with the aid of the Sharingan or Byakuugan. The clone can also perform any Clay based Ninjutsu known to the user --with the exceotion of this one--. Once the clone is struck with powerful attack or blow, however, it will return to a lifeless soft-clay sculpture of the user which can be reused for other jutsu if desired. Also, if provided with enough chakra, the clone may retain its shape for a short period of time after being struck to make a convincing display of death or false hope of victory as a distraction.
Jibaku Bunshin no Jutsu
Self Destructing Clay Technique
A very unique and powerful Bunshin created from a highly explosive stock of clay. The use of this technique is very cunning and requires great skill. Unknown to the opponent(s), Deidara will no longer be truely present but instead shall discreetly replace himself with a replica of himself produced of an exploding clay clone created from either C1 or C2 explosive Chakra. Identifying this clone with Doujutsu doesn’t work, making it a very good distraction to get away. The clone will snag a bit of clay from its pouch and consume it with its facial mouth, swelling with charka and then releasing it in a violent explosion that leaves nothing intact within its range. Including itself.
Sentsurubin
Flight of a Thousand Cranes
A powerful technique that involves the creation of one thousand tiny clay cranes. After extracting a hefty amount of clay from his pouch, Deidara uses his mouth to imbed the material with C2 chakra as he chews. From here, he proceeds to blow a massive bubble of clay that will grow to a phenomenal size. Then, performing a quick hand seal, the large sphere with pop in a giant plume of white smoke, releasing from its confines one thousand clay cranes. Each reach the size of an adult's hand, Deidara adjust their size without effort as they appear. These cranes then do what he wishes, filling the sky with his art. With this Jutsu alone Deidara has destroy countless towns for his own sheer enjoyment. The explosions caused by this technique are enormous and not to be taken lightly.
Note: The majority of Deidara's artistic just does not require hand seals other than that of detonation and nearly all do not possess a name.

Background/History:
Deidara grew up in the confines of his home village, Iwagakure no Sato, but abandoned it without second thought while he was still young. Before long, he found himself working as a terrorist bomber for hire; finding this field of occupation as an opportunity to display and expand his artwork on a regular basis. He killed, assassinating leaders, people, clans, with a passionate revelry in what his art was capable of. Then...the Akatsuki came for him.
He had been involuntarily recruited by an organization he knew nothing of and didn't care for. He held no wish for joining, and stated so bluntly when the strangers introduced themselves and their intentions. But one, Uchiha Itachi, insulted his art. Challenged him. A deal was struck that if Deidara should lose in a fight he would consent to joining the organization. And confident in his abilities, Deidara charged into the battle; only to be trapped within the walls of Itachi's genjutsu and have a new kind of art revealed to him.
And as such, Deidara was drafted into the Akatsuki. He fell into the role of partner to Sasori, and gradually grew accustomed to the organization, its goals, and the life it presented. But he nurtured a grudge against Uchiha Itachi and his scorning eyes, his loathing of the other still thriving, and longs to defeat Itachi to prove his worth and that of his art. It is only for their ultimate objective that Deidara sets his resentment aside and concentrates on the matters at hand.
Sasori and he were assigned to capture Shukaku, the One-Tailed bijuu, and traveled to Sunagakure to accomplish this goal. Deidara volunteered to participate in the defeating and kidnapping of the Jinchuuriki, and granted permission, dove into a battle with the Kazekage; Sabaku no Gaara. The battle that ensued cost the Nukenin the use of one of his arms, but resulted in his victory and the completion of his mission. Later, after sealing the bijuu, he and Sasori encountered the Kyuubi jinchuuriki and his teammates. Another battle later, after having to eventually fake his own death and rip off his remaining arm, Deidara returned to base to have Kakuzu grant him with new limbs.
Upon the news of Sasori's death, an occurrence which Deidara blames on his former Masters inaccurate outlook on proper art, Tobi was assigned as Deidara's new partner. A match definitely not made in heaven. Deidara commonly finds his patience wearing thin, as Tobi rarely listens to what he is saying, even falling asleep on several occasions, and has a knack for taking credit for their accomplishments. Deidara doesn't withhold urges to attack Tobi as often as he does others. The mission in which they were required to locate and defeat the Three-Tailed bijuu is a prime example of how the Nukenin deals with such an occurrence. However, despite his often hostility towards Tobi, Deidara has formed what can be viewed as a Student-Teacher connection with him.
Please provide a brief RP sample:
For a moment, Deidara's eye flicked over to the younger shinobi when he spoke. He didn't seem to be of any importance so the cloaked shinobi turned back to the ones being questioned. He listened intently to their answers, as the silver haired one spoke of his destination, Deidara smiled slightly. This was perfect, now he knew where they were going and could find them with ease.
Staying a bit longer to hear the other, bandaged one, he laughed silently at his response. In his mind he thought, That one will be interesting to talk too... perhaps a change of targets would be in order...un? Considering this new option, the blond shook his head. The silver haired shinobi could give more information about the jinchuuriki of the kyuubi and perhaps others, while the mysterious one's origins were unknown.
Perhaps after he was done interrogating the first one he could speak with the strange one, yeah, that seemed like a good plan. Nodding to himself, the clay user told himself that as soon as those two left he would follow them carefully untill an opportunity to approach them arose.
