Name:
Uchiha Itachi
Age:
Thirty-three
Gender:
Male
Rank:
ANBU Captain; S-ranked criminal
Village/Country:
Previously: Konohagakure no Sato; Fire Country
Currently: S-ranked nukenin; member of Akatsuki
Personality/Attitude:
Itachi is almost completely emotionless and considers the going-ons and problems of the world to be of little concern. Despite being a S-ranked criminal, he does not like needless bloodshed and likes to finish fights off as quickly as possible. When fighting he finds his opponents more as an annoyance than a threat. Itachi's only noticeable interest is in Akatsuki's goals, putting the organization's success and secrecy before everything else. Itachi gets along fairly well with his partner, Kisame, much better than most other Akatsuki members do with their own partners. Kisame, in fact, has a deep loyalty to Itachi, immediately doing as he instructs and looking out for his well-being. Though it seems like respect, it may also be fueled somewhat by fear of his partner. Itachi treats all of his fellow Akatsuki members to this same, more respectful and agreeable personality, though his courtesy is rarely returned by the other members. The Uchiha speaks softly and with a monotone, never giving away anything. Despite his cold demeanor, as shown when rumors of Sasuke’s death were spreading and due to the fact he didn’t kill the boy, he may still have some attachment to his younger brother. All-in-all, regardless of his horrible reputation, he is not completely heartless, avoiding battles and treating people with respect.
Chakra Nature: Fire based
~Ninjutsu~:
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu- A jutsu that allows the user to create solid clones of themselves that disappear upon being attacked.
Bunshin Daibakuha- This jutsu causes Itachi’s Kage Bunshin to explode with a force that could easily kill his opponents within a certain range.
Katon: Gokakyuu no Jutsu- a large ball of flame is able to shoot from the user’s mouth. Itachi’s is much more advanced than Sasuke’s, and the attack can go a long distance with a large force.
Katon: Housenka no Jutsu: the user is able to emit several balls of flame from their mouth, often shuriken are stored within these to create a surprise attack
Suiton: Suigadan- catches unwary targets in a circle of crushing water
Itachi is noted to be very fast with his techniques and movements.
~Genjutsu~:
Sharingan: A Kekkei-Genkai restricted to only the Uchiha Clan. It is a powerful doujutsu that allows the user to copy any jutsu, save for bloodline abilities and interpret hand seals to know beforehand what is being used against them.
Mangekyou Sharingan: An advanced version of the Sharingan attained by killing one’s best friend. With this, the user is able to cast two very powerful eye techniques (Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, respectively)
*Tsukiyomi- this Genjutsu, though powerful, is very risky, as it deteriorates the user’s vision. With it, the user is able to cast an unbreakable Genjutsu (by the target) that lasts for three days seemingly, but only a second in reality. This causes the victim actual pain at the cost of a large amount of the user’s chakra.
*Amaterasu- allows user to create a large black flame that burns for seven days and nights. It can burn through the strongest of materials.
Magen: Kyô Tenchi-ten- Using this, when faced with a Genjutsu, Itachi is able to cast it back upon the opponent.
Itachi is a specialist in Genjutsu and a master of torture. He can create many ways to torture his victims both mentally and physically. He can trap one in a powerful Genjutsu by simply pointing a finger at them.
~Taijutsu~:
He can use Kage Bunshin as a diversion when attacking, though he is more of a long distance fighter, allowing Kisame to take on such opponents. He is rarely seen fighting hand-to-hand, but attaining an ANBU captain rank at age thirteen does not mean his skills in this field are below par.
Appearance or Pictures:
Relatives/Family:
Uchiha Sasuke- Brother
Uchiha Mikoto- Mother
Uchiha Fugaku- Father
(Other members of Uchiha Clan are deceased by his hand.)
Equipment/Inventory:
Kunai, shuriken, etc…
Background/History:
Itachi has been considered a genius since a young age, graduating at the top of his Academy class at age 7, attaining initial activation and mastery of the Sharingan by age 8, and becoming a Chunin at age 10. These accomplishments led the members of the Uchiha clan to think of Itachi as the clan's strongest member and, in turn, the clan's future. Itachi's father, Fugaku Uchiha, was the biggest proponent of this idea and focused much of his effort into bettering Itachi's career and status within Konohagakure. Because of his focused attention on Itachi, Fugaku paid little attention to his other son, Sasuke Uchiha. As a result of this neglect, Sasuke attempted to win his father's attention by somehow outdoing Itachi. Itachi would often offer to help Sasuke train to accomplish this goal, though he never lived up to his promises. To compensate for this, Itachi tried to force their father to spend time with Sasuke by refusing to carry out his other tasks unless his father complied. While Fugaku did so, much of the time he spent with Sasuke was still focused around Itachi, and Sasuke continued to desire his father's attention.
At the age of 13, Itachi became a squadron leader of the ANBU. After joining the ANBU, however, Itachi began to ignore his assignments and at the same time became a prime suspect in the death of Shisui Uchiha. While Shisui had been a good friend of Itachi and had appeared to commit suicide, the clan began to suspect the suicide was faked and that Itachi killed Shisui. As this lack of faith began to spread, Itachi began to distance himself from the clan, attacking its members when provoked and voicing his opinion that the clan itself was hopeless. As a result, the relationship between Fugaku and Itachi became estranged, and Fugaku started spending his time training Sasuke in an attempt to steer him away from following in Itachi's footsteps. Just as Sasuke began to receive the attention he so yearned for, he returned home one day to find that Itachi had killed every member of the clan. When questioned why he murdered their entire family, Itachi replied that it was "to test [his] ability", though he felt that Sasuke was not worth killing. Before leaving he encouraged Sasuke to live a life of hate and get strong enough to defeat him and avenge the clan. To help in this regard, Itachi told Sasuke of how to gain the Mangekyo Sharingan: one must simply kill his or her closest friend, just as he had done to Shisui.
At some point in time Itachi joined Akatsuki. While it stands to reason that he joined after massacring the Uchiha clan, the timeline that has been given throughout the series (coupled with his age) suggests that he joined the organization prior to killing his clan. As a result, the exact time at which Itachi joined is as of yet uncertain. After joining Akatsuki, Itachi was confronted by Orochimaru who attempted to steal his body for his own use. With his Sharingan, Itachi was able to negate Orochimaru's efforts and trap him in a Genjutsu. Orochimaru was unable to escape from Itachi until he severed his left hand, which also forced him to flee the organization. He later proves instrumental in recruiting Deidara to Akatsuki, forcing him to join by defeating him in battle. (quote wikipedia)
Please provide a brief RP sample:
The moon hung high amongst stars strewn in random yet intricate patterns across the night sky, which was painted darkly with different hues of purples, blacks, and blues. The fireflies illuminating the ground below coincided in perfect timing and appearance with the stars above, and the night seemed to alive with the ever-optimistic adornments in the sky and the joyous insects floating about the forest floors. Moonlight streamed elegantly and nimbly through leaves of overhead trees, all alive with bright greens and pale yellows of spring, and occasionally, a pink, indicating the season of cherry blossoms. The mossy and heavily plant-clad floor of the many forests of Konoha seemed illuminated by the pale light, shadows barely cast upon the scene. The purity of it all was too perfect for the event that had taken place here.
But, not all was well, as not too far off; an ugly and dismal pall of dark grey clouds began idly but vindictively itinerating over to the peaceful and untouched beauty of this foliage-strewn and innocent scene.
Dark, uncaring, cold… It was what rain was; the mood it seemed to portray. That seemed similar to a young nukenin, who chose the wrong time to decide to take a walk along the forests of Hi no Kuni, the Country of Fire. Regardless of the similarities, Uchiha Itachi truly hated rain. More specifically, he disliked mud. The awful sound it made as one walked through it…
Squish…
It sounded like someone being stabbed in the heart.
The Uchiha suppressed a small shiver, reddened eyes narrowed distastefully. The bright and lethal pools of his eyes seemed to catch aflame in the dappled moonlight streamed through the trees in a colander-like affect, and it enhanced the beauty of them, while simultaneously causing them to flash with the agitation he felt, indicating the danger of looking into such eyes. A light, chill breeze blew from the direction of the oncoming storm, ruffling the black and red cloak worn by the young man, and his long raven locks blew gently over his shoulder and across his eyes, the movements almost in perfect sync with the softly rustling leaves overhead. The lush foliage decorating the branches of the trees seemed to be waving a greeting to the Uchiha as he walked uncaringly by.
Itachi rather disliked coming on missions to his old home. It was out of his way and very inconvenient, not to mention the constant danger of being crossed by ANBU was present. It wasn’t that he could not deal with such a futile attack, but he didn’t want to be bothered. It slowed him down, and the chances of being located by bloodshed increased. This time seemed different, as he had not been intercepted once, had not seen a single trace of life… Not even animals- save for these obnoxious luminescent pests that seemed to enjoy flashing in his aching and sensitive eyes. It was… almost eerie.
The S-ranked nukenin sighed mutedly to himself with a frown, noticing that the thick lining of trees about him were beginning to grow more sparse to notify him that he was coming close to the Hidden Village of Konoha. He could feel the rise in humidity, and he frowned more deeply as he cast his Sharingan eyes to the sky; those angry waves of clouds drifted just overhead. He quickened his pace to get this over with as quickly as possible- he hoped to find some sort of shelter somewhere around here, and after a few moments, he came to a rocky outcropping jutting from the forest floor. Obviously, he had gone the different than usual way. Oh well; it didn’t matter much… Itachi approached the ledge warily, perceptive Sharingan eyes scanning the area for any signs of life or traps. Deeming it safe, he allowed himself to gaze out into the vast expanse of land before him.
What he saw caused his lips to part slightly in surprise, and he blinked as if his failing eyes were deceiving him.
The great- or once great- village of Konoha was in ruin. Buildings, once proud, were collapsed onto the previously crowded and jovial streets in piles of rubble. Not a trace of life was in sight. They sent him here… for nothing. Destruction and the scent of death lingered in the air -or was it the humidity?- around him, and he closed his eyes and reached up to massage his temples to vent his silent frustrations. A droplet of moisture on the tip of his nose made him snap open his eyes and turn them to the skies above. The droplets of water poured from the sky in torrents, a few drops caught in liquid moonshine before the noble and bright beacon disappeared behind the grey of the clouds.
Even the skies mourn the loss of the strength…
Itachi felt his hair begin to flatten against his pale skin, and his cloak become heavier from the liquid seeping into the material. A pale veil seemed to form around the Uchiha from the water pounding against him and droplets scattering about him. He let out another low growl at the pointlessness of this ‘mission’ and the now going-to-be uncomfortable journey back to River Country. He stepped backwards, his foot coming in contact with the dreaded mud he detested so.
Squish…
Another family member penetrated through the heart…
The Uchiha growled again, shaking his head as his eyes narrowed. Now he recalled why he hated Konoha so much- it brought back memories of his crime, memories of his brother…
Sasuke…
His thoughts were jerked away from his brother, and he grimaced to himself to regain his frigid composure.
Uchiha Itachi hated storms.
