Name: Nozomi Yanagita
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Rank: Mercenary
Village/Country: She was born in Kumogakure, but wonders all over the land.
Personality/Attitude: Through all the hardships Nozomi has been through, she still smiles. This seventeen year old is kind, caring and sweet (rather tries to be) to those who aren’t in her bingo book.
Upon first meeting her, you might think she is a bit cold hearted, and unfriendly, but that’s only because that's how she chooses the people to keep near her. If they keep pushing toward her, or even try to still talk to her, Nozomi will eventually open up. If they give up after the first try—then she shows they are not worth wasting time on. She waits for people to approach her.
Nozomi speaks when she has something to say, otherwise all conversations are deemed wasteful—or well, that’s her excuse. Nozomi doesn’t really talk much because she doesn’t know how to. She afraid of saying the wrong thing and hurting the person she’s socializing with.
Nozomi has good manners, and knows when to hold her tongue and how to act around certain situations. She’s calm and gentle. She lets people know what she wants them to know, and always dodges questions that concern herself, family or even past.
She’s calculating in everything she does and never gives without getting—that’s in a mercenary’s true nature. Nozomi will avoid fighting as much as possible, but she will raise her sword to defend herself. If you’re in her bingo book, the treatment will be opposite.
As hard as she tries to be normal, her past has caused too much damage for her heart. She struggles with her emotions and only seems to feel the need to protect, and the need to defend. In other words, Nozomi is emotionally retarded, and socially clueless.
Chakra Nature: Unknowm
Ninjutsu: None Genjutsu: None Taijutsu: None
Appearance or Pictures: She has brown hair that she keeps up into a ponytail, when she takes her hair down, it reaches to her knees. Nozomi has sea blue eyes, and tanned skin. She wraps bandages around her torso and breasts, but occasionally she will wear a black coat over. She wears maroon hakamas that fit her loosely. She also as bandages wrapped around her forearm with arm shields. Nozomi stands at 5'4" and weighs 105 pounds. She isn't very powerful, so she uses her speed and agility much to her advantage. I will have a full picture up soon, but for now my avatar and signature should be sufficient.
Relatives/Family: Nozomi was an only child, thus having no siblings. She never knew her parent's real names nor their ages; but she know they are dead.
Equipment/Inventory: A sword which length matches her own. She's not a ninja, but Nozomi does carry kunai around. Around both her wrists are bracelets that keep miniature medical needles securely tucked in. She uses these to knock her opponent out by jabbing them into the body's pressure points, just incase she doesn't want to kill her opponent.
Known Jutsu: Nozomi doesn't know any jutsu, but she has studied many of them, just in case she encountered a ninja.
Background/History: Nozomi wasn't your everyday child--not because she was specially talented, but because was raised to become an empty shell. Nozomi's parents had killed her heart at an early age. By doing so, they tortured and beat people in front of her young eyes. Nozomi's parents hated each other. They hated the result of their relationship, so they would even beat their own and only daughter.
After years of beatings, Nozomi finally witness her first murder, which was of her own mother. Her father had turned mentally ill, and began to kill those who did not follow or even agree with him. He stopped beating Nozomi, but started to kill his subordinates and even innocent people right before her own eyes. She was terrified at first, but eventually grew used to the screams to the point that even she did some of the killing. Her first kill was when she turned nine. Her father forced her to kill a girl Nozomi's own age.
That murder is the only that still haunts her 'til this day, and it's the only kill she ever regrets doing.
When she turned Twelve, Nozomi participated in her first village raid. She was only brought along to kill the children that the adults and even father refused to. This slaughter had no effect on her, and she emerged from the raid unscathed.
Her father turned into a homicidal maniac, and that was what eventually killed him. When she turned sixteen, her father's own people turned against him and killed him. They only spared Nozomi because she had fought to the death when they came for her.
She has been on her own since then.
Nozomi never knew that her parents were ninja once before, they were actually missing-nin—from Kumogakure—but they had lacked in telling her. Therefore, Nozomi has no idea she has chakra.
Please provide a brief RP sample: It had been hours ago since the moon stole the sky from the sun. The stars were out and glimmering with such beauty, that any flower had been put to shame. The weather was just perfect-it wasn't warm, but it wasn't chilly… it was just perfect. The sky was clear of any clouds and there was a slight breeze developing in the area. Nozomi sat perched on a thick tree branch. She had one leg dangling off the side, while the other was bent at the knees with an elbow resting on top. Her free hand held a sack of coins that she had just earned for her latest target. And her eyes were closed softly, using her ears to help keep her guard up. Nozomi's sword rested beside her, wrapped neatly within her black coat. This really wasn't such a bad ending for a day full of murder.
With a sigh, Nozomi began to toss the bag of coins in her hand. What was she to do with this money? Personally, the woman had thought that her employer had overpaid her. Not that she was complaining, but the target was too easy to be worth so much. Before she had even accepted the money, the woman had gone through all worst case scenario. The worst that could happen was being set up. She also had a bounty on her head, so they could have given the job to her while they prepared to take her life while she was gone--that just turned out to be paranoia, seeing how she was still alive and well. She also wasn't being set up, four hours later and no pursuers. Maybe she just lucky.
Satisfied with that, Nozomi reached for her sword and pushed herself to a stand. The breeze was still blowing softly, and gooseflesh appeared over her body. With an annoyed sigh, she uncovered her sword and placed the coat over her body, carrying the sword in her hands. The woman jumped down from the branch and landed gracefully on the hardened floor.
Where was she to go? What was she to do? She had money to last a few months, so killing wouldn't be in her book for quite some time. Nozomi had no goal in life. Her old life style had been burned down with bloody fights--but it was best that way. No one should have to endure a past that she had.
Now that she was free from such nightmares… where was she to go in life? Join an organization? Maybe a village? Nozomi was born in Kumogakure, but she wasn't a ninja within their ranks. She had no loyalty to any village. If she had nothing to accomplish in her life, then she had no limitations as to what she could do.
The breeze had began to blow harder, and Nozomi had to hold her bangs in place to keep them from limiting her vision. Her eyes lifted to the sky, and a frown found its place on her lips. The clouds above rolled in quite fast, which means there must be a storming heading in her direction. Now wasn't the time to be thinking of where to go. She needed to find shelter to keep herself from getting caught within the storm. With that, Nozomi turned around and began her search.

I accept as well. I think it's interesting because she doesn't know how to use her chakra. And best of all to me... She had a rough past, but she still isn't completely depressed! People get over things, and I find it rare to see death and a happy character. They're always so dark and depressed; it gets boring...
Good character. :3~
3/3!
