Destiny: Awakens
Prologue:
Where am I? The sky above was full of threatening thunder clouds, waiting to let down their wrath. A man lay on the ground; clutching a wound he had received in a recent battle. What happened? All I can remember is a black figure . . . he tried desperately to roll onto his side, but the pain was too much. The wound he had received is located on his torso, a deep flesh wound that nearly cost him his life, but he was still alive; barely.
He remembered first coming to this world with his old friend, Aizura. She was a white eagle that would often perch on his shoulder or back him up during battle. Unlike any regular animal, Aizura gained the unique ability to speak, like a human would. This was because she was, widely known as a semi-god or gaurdian.
Gaurdians could come in many forms, but each of them had a single purpose, to protect the thing they loved most. To Aizura, this was Blaze, the man that was currently lying on the ground in pain. Gaurdians however, could also protect the forests, or any other living thing that they might grow close to. They also had several different powers, like the ability to change their size, in an instant.
The sound of distant thunder echoed through the valley, followed by the soft pitter patter of rain drops on his cheeks. Great, it's starting to rain. Blaze had white, spiky hair. His eyes were the color of fire; that gazed over the horizontal land scape. The left eye had a velvet eye patch over it. This was meant to hide his scar, a scar he had received years before.
Blaze, could remember that day well, with the exception of a few minor details. The battle took place in a world, much like this one in size. Several races were at war, it was his job to stop it! That day was also like this one, giant thunder clouds looming over the battle field, rain pooring down. Yes, not too different from this day, Blaze thought.
Four gods, they were the ones that had started the war, Blaze was the one meant to finish it. He entered the battle, with a partner other then Aizura. The two of them had known each other since their childhood, they became Time Gaurdians together, and then trained together. But the time they spent with each other, the closer they became, soon they were doing the same missions.
They entered into the frey, with nothing more then their swords, and animal partners. The battle lasted for hours, neither of them breaking a sweat as they sliced down anyone who still had a will to fight. Anyone who refused to fight, however; was left alone.
An opponent, hidden within the comotion, held his sword high. The blade was about seven to eight feet long. The hilt was blood-red, while the sharp end was as black as night. This was the legendary sword, Dragnaeg. It's able to slice through adamantite, the strongest metal known. Who was he? This was a question that would always come back to haunt Blaze.
"So, if it isn't the legendary Blazer. Blazer the white paladin, isn't that what you are called?" the man asked with a mocking tone. "Draw your sword, then we fight to see, who is the strongest!" without giving Blaze any chance to act, he took his sword and charged forward.
"Sensei!" a voice called from the distance. A boy, that looked like he was around the age of fifteen. The brown spikey haired kid rushed forward to push Blaze out of the way, this is when it happened. The black sword sliced through the kid's back like it was a knife cutting through cheese.
(more will be added. . .)
Blaze's white clothes were now drenched in his own blood. I have to....get up! he tried again, this time managing to roll onto his back. The red pendent he wore around his neck was now visible; many people believe that it holds a mystic power, the power to grant eternal life.
Soft foot steps were approaching, who is it? Blazer thought to himself. The sound of water splashing underfoot indicated that they were now closer. "My, my, Blazer," the voice was gentle. Blaze looked up to see a tall man standing over him. "Look what you got yourself into this time," he chuckled slightly before kneeling to inspect is friend's wound.
From what Blaze could see, this man had a sort of gentle smile, which made his green eyes sparkle. His light brown hair seemed darker now that it was drenched with the rain. After seeing this man's face, Blaze recognized him as his old friend, Kelzan. "W. . .why are you here?" were the only words that he could utter.
Kelzan smiled, still looking over his friend's wound. "I came to see if you needed help," he said with a happy voice. Kelzan looked like he was twenty-eight years old, from the way he speaks sometimes it would seem that he is much older, and his brain is filled with years of knowledge. Kelzan scanned the area, as if looking for something, "where is your friend?"
The thought had occured to Blaze, Aizura, the white eagle that often perched on his shoulder was gone. She. . . helped me in the battle, he thought maybe the dragon had injured her, somehow. My friend. . . his vision was becomming blurry.
"Hang on!" though he didn't seem it, Kelzan was actually quite calm. He knew that Blaze would pull through.
[more will be added here later. . .]
They had known each other, from the very first time they became Time Guardians. Blaze wasn't originally from this world, he had come from a world that was once filled with peace. They were a race called the Drakoraji, humans, yet they had dragon like wings. These people were wealthy, maybe this was their downfall.
A Time Gaurdian's main duty is to travel through the Void, watching over each world, keeping the balance of power. Perhaps this is why they visited Helanderia. The world had too much wealth, because of this, many of the Drakoraji only thought of themselves.
